friends, employees and youth groups for urban adventurous fun!
Ackers Adventure is leading the way in urban activities that is located in the heart of
Birmingham. Specialist leaders in outdoor pursuits we have over 25 years experience offering a wide range of outdoor pursuit activities for all ages and abilities from a 70 ache semi rural
site in Birmingham, West Midlands. We can offer lessons from learning to ski and snowboard in Birmingham (Midlands) to staff and management development.
Ackers Adventure, an independent charitable limited company that was established in 2005 to continue
to expand on the aims and objectives of The Ackers Trust. The Trust was set up in 1981 and still continues to protect the site synonymously with Ackers Adventure.
The objective of Ackers Adventure is for the general benefit of initially the local community and
then the inhabitants of other areas nationally in charitable ways. Ackers Adventure helps to achieve this providing all people with the opportunity to do dynamic and adventures activities
that are fully instructed.

As a non profit charity organisation, many of the activities to children at Ackers Adventure are

Directions to The Ackers Adventurous Activity Centre
From Birmingham City Centre
Take the A45 Coventry Road East towards Coventry. After approx. 1 mile, at a large roundabout with a McDonalds on the left, continue along the A45 to Coventry following the brown
"The Ackers" ski slope signs. At the next roundabout, Poets Corner (there is a large mosque with domed roofs), turn right down Golden Hillock Road, signposted to The Ackers.
Proceed 250m past Small Heath train station and a trading estate to an area of fenced park land on the left hand side. The entrance to The Ackers is towards the end of the park land.
Enter the site and follow the road and signs for approx. 1/2 mile to the ski lodge.
From Coventry, NEC or the M42
Take the A45 Coventry Road West towards Birmingham. Continue to the first roundabout without a flyover, called Hey Barnes Circus with a large ASDA ahead and Next Store on the left.
Take the second exit following the dual carriageway to Birmingham, ignoring signs to The ARC, to the next roundabout (Poets Corner) with a large mosque with domed roofs on the right hand
side. Turn left down Golden Hillock Road then proceed 250m past Small Heath train station and a trading estate to an area of fenced park land on the left hand side. The entrance to The
Ackers is towards the end of the park land. Enter the site and follow the road and signs for approx. 1/2 mile to the ski lodge.
