The Ackers Youth Forum
So, What Is It?
A group of young people (aged 13-25) coming up with ideas for activities, outdoor
qualifications, trips, equipment and various other things, worthy of applying for funding from various sources. These experiences and objects will encourage growth of skills and will
teach some brand new ones, all the while enabling young people to access stuff generally unavailable due to price. These ideas have to come from the minds of the youth and the possibilities
are almost endless!
How Do I Get Involved?
Pick up a registration form from the Ackers reception/ski centre and fill it in and
return it to the reception. The information required (name, age, address, email, phone number) will only be used by the youth forum to contact you about meetings or send you news about a
project. Alternatively, you could send an email, with the above details to paul.bryan@ackers-adventure.co.uk, expressing your
interest or just to ask a question! The meetings take place monthly and are generally held at the Ackers ABC centre. Dates, Times and any changes in location will be sent through email
and will be up on a poster in the Ackers Ski Centre.
In The Meantime, What Can I Do For The Youth Forum?
Get your thinking cap on!!! Come up with lots and lots of ideas for things YOU would
like to get funded, and then the only way to get is to ask! So bring some ideas with you to each meeting and we can, as a group, try to get the funding!
So we look forward to seeing you in the future!
