Tailored to your specific needs and requirements, our Team Building Days can help with communication, leadership, motivation, confidence or problem solving or anything else that you think will help your team work better. We also make sure that everyone has fun! We offer two different Team Building options which are:

  1. A Team Building Activity – such as Raft/Pontoon Building, Bushcraft or Crate Stacking etc. This can be a half day activity on it’s own or combined with a half day team meeting or training session in our meeting room.
  2. Scenario – We have a number of Scenarios that we can choose from depending on the needs of the group. These Scenarios work on different areas of team building and involve pre planning tasks, the scenario activity and then a debrief to end the day.

Activities (Half Day or Full Day)

Choose from our vast list of adventurous activities including Skiing, Climbing, Canoeing, Zip Wire, Jungle Challenge to name but a few. All activities are led by fully qualified, experience instructors and all equipment is provided. Choose just one or a number of activities  and we can timetable the day for you.

Team Challenge (Full Day Only)

Suitable for groups of 30+ people, this is a fun, competitive and exciting day that involves small groups competing against each other by completing short theoretical & physical challenges across our 75 acre site. This would be great for a large company or for smaller companies to compete against each other. Prizes can be given to the winners to give an extra incentive.

Corporate Volunteering Groups

Corporate & Group Volunteer Days

Every year many businesses and individuals give up their time and employees time to support Ackers Adventure. Whether it be for an hour or a day, volunteer work at Ackers Adventure is a great way of getting out of their normal working environment, into the fresh air and achieving something that really makes a difference to the whole community. Feel free to contact us if you or your business would be interested in Ackers Adventure’s volunteer programmes and give something back to the community.

Current volunteer organisations include:

  • Barclays
  • Deutche Bank
  • Price Waterhouse Cooper
  • Prologis
  • Natwest

Corporate Volunteers from Birmingham make a real difference!

Over the last couple of months Ackers Adventure has seen an increase in the number of corporate groups including Ernst & Young, Pinsett Masons, Challenge Network, Deutche Bank (pictured above), and Barclays Bank taking part in volunteer work on site. With such a vast site and only a small amount of full time staff it is difficult to keep on top of all of the jobs that need doing. That’s why it’s so great when we get volunteer groups offering their valuable time and effort to help us keep the site tidy and make much needed improvements. The teams mentioned have been involved in projects such as pond clearance, path renovation, fence construction and repair to name but a few.

We have many on-going projects that will test skills and expertise of individuals and groups. If your company or organisation is looking to volunteer their time to an environmental project or contribute to on-going improvements in the areas in which we live and work then please get in touch. Many companies such as Barclays, are using these schemes to contribute to their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), as well as providing time away from the confines of the office to work on rewarding projects as a team. This also enhances team cohesion, a sense of achievement and more importantly an element of fun.

For more information on volunteer work or anything related to Ackers Adventure please contact Abbie Payton or Dave Bateman on 0121 772 5111.
