Ski

From a basic course up to English Ski Council Instructor Level

Paddlepower & 1* through to 4* Awards / Level 1 and 2 Coaching Awards / Foundation, Safety and Rescue Training / White Water Safety & Rescue Training / Bell Boat Helm Award (Course by arrangement) – A qualification sufficient for individuals to lead groups on Bell Boats. 1 Day

Climbing

National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme (NICAS) / Basic Climbing Course SPA Training / MLTE Artificial Climbing Wall Awards

Archery

We run regular GNAS Archery Leader Courses that qualify you to lead Archery Groups. Please contact reception for the next course dates.

First Aid Courses

Held on site or at your place of work. From basic one day to more involved multi day courses

We are frequently asked for information on how to become an instructor within the outdoor activity industry. The following information gives some advice and the links to help answer some of your specific questions. Please click on the desirable outdoor activity.

Employment opportunities within the industry could be limited, however Ackers Adventure is always looking for sessional staff. If you are interested in becoming an outdoor instructor at our centre, please contact us now! You will require basic qualifications or First Aid training.
