Corporate Volunteers from Birmingham make a real difference!

Over the last  couple of months Ackers Adventure has seen an increase in the number of corporate groups including Ernst & Young, Pinsett Masons, Challenge Network, Deutche Bank (pictured above), and Barclays Bank taking part in volunteer work on site. With such a vast site and only a small amount of full time staff it is difficult to keep on top of all of the jobs that need doing. That’s why it’s so great when we get volunteer groups offering their valuable time and effort to help us keep the site tidy and make much needed improvements. The teams mentioned have been involved in wood staining benches, removing rubbish, weeding and pruning overgrown areas, cutting back bushes and tidying path ways and laying the foundations for a brand new activity. We have on-going projects all year round so if your company or organisation is looking to volunteer their time to an environmental project or contribute to on-going improvements in the areas in which we live and work then please get in touch. Many companies such as Barclays, are using these schemes to contribute to their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), as well as providing time away from the confines of the office to work on rewarding projects as a team. For more information on volunteer work or anything related to Ackers Adventure please contact Abbie Payton or Dave Bateman on 0121 772 5111 or email dave.bateman@ackers-adventure.co.uk
