Private, Family & Group Lessons

Climbing
We have 3 climbing walls… The Crag, The Pyramid and The Tower. Each wall has various grades ranging from basic traverses to more difficult climbs for those wanting more of a challenge. The Pyramid and The Crag are are both floodlit and are available at all times the centre is open. Ackers Adventure also allows recreational use of its climbing walls for the experienced climber and is a great way to perfect their own techniques.
Abseiling
Our climbing walls are great for learning how to abseil and perfecting abseil techniques and we also have facilities to allow wheelchair users to abseil down our specially designed Crag. We can also run on or off-site abseils to raise money for your chosen charity!

Our private, family and group sessions each last 1.5 hours. Climbing or abseiling offers a great chance to try a new activity and improve fitness levels!

  • Private (2 people + extras)
  • Family (2 adults + 2 juniors)
  • Group (up to 10 people)

Recreational Climbing
Available for experienced climbers whenever the centre is open, subject to availability. Participants must have their own equipment and must sign in at reception on arrival.

The Climbing Wall Award trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to supervise climbers on purpose built artificial climbing walls and boulders. It is ideal for people who work at climbing walls or at venues with permanent or mobile climbing towers. There is also an optional abseil module which is all about supervising abseiling in climbing walls.

The course is all about supervising safe climbing and abseiling sessions on single pitch crags. Whether you’re a parent, a volunteer or an outdoor centre instructor, the Single Pitch Award has been designed to maintain high standards of supervision so that people can enjoy safe sessions in this increasingly popular sport.
