At Ackers we can offer a range of activities suitable for foundation age children. Although the majority of our activities are for 5yrs + , we can adapt and tailor certain activities &  sessions to suit your group. Please contact us to discuss your ideas.

Ackers Adventure offers a range of activities suitable for Key Stage 1 children that can link into subjects from the National Curriculum, current topics, life skills or just a fun day away from school.

For example: Orienteering, Team Building, Bushcraft or ThrillSeekers.

We have a wide range of facilities on site, and expertise in a number of different areas which enables us to be flexible and tailor programmes to suit your needs and requirements. Please contact us to discuss your ideas.

Ackers Adventure can offer your pupils an educational and fun experience away from the confines of the classroom.

We have a wide range of facilities on site which enables us to be flexible and offer a varied choice of activities.

All of our activities can be linked into subjects from the National Curriculum in some way, shape or form and we can also tailor sessions to cover particular learning outcomes.

We offer Orienteering on site which includes map & compass work, geography & working as a team.

Bushcraft is a great way for your pupils to experience the great outdoors and become Bear Grills for a day. Bushcraft can cover anything from shelter building to fire lighting to tool making.

Ackers also has its very own residential centre on site. Sleeping up to 26 people this self contained building is literally a hop skip and a jump from all of our activities. It’s a great way for pupils to experience being away from school and home with their peers in a safe and comfortable environment. Our team of staff will happily put together an activity programme that suits you had your group during your stay.

Ackers Adventure can provide a range of activities that link in and/or compliment GCSE subjects including PE and Geography.

Some of these activities include:

Activities can be booked on an individual basis, a 6 week block of 1.5 hour sessions or an alternative that suits you.

We also offer an Activity Day or Multi Activity Day –  days packed full of exciting adventurous activities that can be linked into subjects, or a just a fun & relaxed day out for your pupils.

Options for School Groups

Ackers Adventure offers School Groups fantastic discounted group rates all year round. Prices are based on groups of 10 people e.g.1 instructor per group.

Sessions can be booked for a whole day, a morning or just one session. Please note that our opening and closing times can be flexible to suit school groups. Please talk to our reception team if you have a particular timings that would suit you better.

School Activity Days

Our School Activity Day offers 3 adventurous activities for just £25 per pupil (based on a minimum group size of 24 pupils).

Choose the date, choose 3 of our many activities including: Skiing, Climbing, Zip Wire, Jungle Challenge or Archery (to name just a few), and then leave the rest to us. It couldn’t be simpler!

A School Activity Day also offers:

  • One Teacher goes free on every activity booked
  • FREE Tea or Coffee for Teachers
  • FREE Wifi in the Ski Centre Reception
  • Flexible times to suit your school

Multi Activity Days

Suitable for groups of 50 – 90, prices dependent on group size and timings (please contact us for a quotation on 0121 772 5111).

Pay one price, for one day and try up to 6 different activities.

A Multi Activity Day gives pupils the opportunity to try a number of different activities in one visit. These activity sessions are shorter than those on the Activity Day above and the day is usually longer.

The choice of Activities on a Multi Activity Day may include:

  • Skiing
  • Climbing
  • Canoeing
  • Jungle Challenge
  • Archery and
  • Kayaking

The Tower Drop using a Fan Descender can be added as an optional extra
