SKI, SNOWBOARD & TOBOGGAN

The Ackers has 3 floodlit synthetic bristle matting slopes available for use throughout the year. The main slope is approx. 100m long and incorporates a permanent ramp jump area. There are also two 30m nursery slopes. One is dedicated solely to snowboard lessons whilst the other is used for starter ski lessons and tobogganing.

AFTER SCHOOL SKI CLUB!

Every Thursday from 6.00pm – 7.30pm join our After School Skiing Club.

Open to all 8 – 16 year olds it teaches you everything you need to know about skiing, whilst giving you the opportunity to meet lots of new friends.

Tobogganing is available to the under 12’s only and is ideal for children’s birthday parties or just a fun and different day out. Priced at only £3.00 per ½ hour per child, it really is great value. We now have a brand new tobogganing slope, but please phone ahead to check availability.

Pingu Ski School
4 - 7 year olds, every Sunday. £12.00

* Starter Ski Lessons:
From a complete beginners to a recreational standard on our dedicated teaching slope. 8 years upwards.
1 hour progressive lessons available evenings & weekends, 7 days a week.
Adults £17.50, Juniors £12.00.

* Condensed Ski Courses:
Excellent "fast" way to learn to ski. 5 hours tuition over a day, weekend or 2 evenings.
Adults £80, Juniors £55.

* Personal Tuition:
Available at any time. Maximum 5 people per instructor. £50 per hour for first person, £15 per hour for each additional person.

* Family Lesson:
Available at any time. Minimum age 8. £85 per hour for up to 2 adults and 2 juniors. Extra adults £12 each, extra juniors £8.00 each.

* Snowplough Plus and Parallel Plus:
A combined session every Wednesday evening. From 6.15pm. Adults £16.00 and Juniors £11.00

* Instructor Training:
Every other Monday evening 6.00 – 8.00pm. Adults £16.00.

* Wednesday Morning Value:
Every Wednesday morning 10am - 1pm. Min.standard of skiing in control from the top of the slope is required. Includes instruction, recreational ski and refreshments. Adults £16.00, Juniors £11.00

* Midland Ski Club:
The Ackers is home of the Midland Ski Club and runs various sessions on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. Adults £13.00, Juniors £9.00

* Recreational Ski, Snowboard and Snowblade:
For competent skiers and snowboarders, recreational use of the slope is available at all times the slope is open. A minimum standard of linked turns and use of the lift is required.

* Snowboard Lessons:
Five progressive stages that will teach you the necessary skills from a beginner to a recreational standard.
Maximum of 5 per instructor. Adults £20, Juniors £17 per hour. Available 7 days a week.
Advanced coaching sessions also available by request.

All prices include equipment hire. All slope users must wear long sleeves, long trousers (ideally not jeans) and gloves (available for hire). No beginners must be on the slope without The Ackers approved instructors.

Please pre - book all lessons and arrive 15 minutes early to be kitted out. The numbers of recreational users may be limited at peak periods.

N.B. Sweets, crisps, hot and cold drinks are available at the ski centre.
